Brad Friedel joins elite club on the final day of the season.......
Tottenham's new goalkeeper Brad Friedel became the 21st player to reach 400 PL appearacnes on the final day of the season and you can also add to that a PL record of seven consecutive ever present seasons
He last missed a match in the 2003/04 season where after playing the first 36 matches of the season he missed the final two matches of the season, so his current run of consecutive games stands at 266
Since moving to Blackburn Rovers 10 seasons ago he has only missed five games in those 10 years playing 375 matches out of a possible 380 for Rovers and Villa, a fantastic achievement
He spent his first three seasons of PL foootball at Liverpool when he failed to become a first team regular with 25 appearances in three seasons
Other current PL goalkeepers with over 100 consecutive games are the Merseyside pair Jose Reina (Liverpool) and Tim Howard (Everton)
