Manchester United today completed the signing of Aston Villa winger Ashley Young, so lets check out his stats

Young made his PL debut for Watford in the 2006/07 season in the away match at Everton on the opening day of the season

Young scored his first PL goal when he bagged a brace in a 3-3 home draw with Fulham scoring the all important equalizer in the 90th minute 

He moved to Villa in January 2007 and made his debut in the 3-1 defeat at Newcastle but did open his Villa account with a 25th minute strike

Ferguson looking to join an elite list with his fourth UEFA Champions League final

Sir Alex Ferguson is coaching in his fourth European Cup Final a feat only achieved by two other coaches

First to do it was Real Madrid coach Miguel Munoz in 1960, 62, 64 and 66, he started with a win in 60 and finished with a win and lost the two in between 

The only other man to do this was Italian legend Marcello Lippi who did it with Juventus in 1996, 97, 98 and 03, Lippi won is his first final but went on to lose the other three

Lionel Messi has the second best strike rate amongst the top goal scorers in the CL with a goal every 1.56 matches, only Ruud van Nistelrooy at a goal every 1.3 is ahead of him

Messi has 36 goals in 56 matches and van Nistelrooy 56 goals in 73 matches 

He has scored once against United in 3 matches, his best strike rate is against the Gunners with six goals in four matches 

Champions League Final - In what? Do United lead Barcelona 16-7 this season in the UCL?

United have kept clean sheets in eight of their 12 CL matches this season and in the four matches they did not they conceded just the one goal

The only time either side conceded more than one goal in a match was when Barca lost 2-1 at the Emirates

Man Utd lead the PL in scoring with 74 goals whilst Blackpool have the worst defensive record with 74 goals conceded 

United are defending a fantastic home record this season with 17 wins and a draw in 18 matches taking 52 points out of a possible 54

They are the top scores at home in the PL with 45 goals and have the meanest defence with just 10 goals conceded

They have not yet conceded a goal in the first half of a PL match at home this season 

Berbatov still seventh in Euro goal scorers despite limited opportunities

Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov has 21 Premier League goals which puts him joint 7th in Europe's top five leagues but has had little chance to add to that total in the last three and a half months 

Berbatov was on 19 goals after his five goal burst in two games at the end of January, with a hat trick in the 5-0 home win over Birmingham and then a double in the 3-2 away win at Blackpool when they came back from a 2-0 deficit 

Giggs breaks Premier League appearance record.....

Manchester United's 37 year old Welsh legend Ryan Giggs needed one more appearance to break David James's Premier League record of 572 and he got it at Ewood Park on Saturday as United clinced the Premier League title for an 12th time

Gigss has started 490 PL matches and beeen called from the bench on 82 occasions

As far as appearances for one club Giggs is some 110 matches ahead of Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher

United go to Ewood Park looking to make it 10 matches unbeaten against Rovers in the PL since they were beaten 4-3 back in February 2006 thanks to a David Bentley hat trick and United having Rio Ferdinand sent off!

Since then United have won seven and draw two with two wins and two draws at Ewood Park 

Over all in the series United have 19 wins in 33 meetings, Rovers five and nine have ended all square
