AC Milan’s Filippo Inzaghi broke the record for the oldest scorer in the Champions League which was only set two weeks ago by Javier Zanetti who plays for neighbours Inter Milan.
Inzaghi netted a double in the home tie against Real Madrid to put the Italians ahead before Real grabbed a late equaliser.
Inzaghi was 15 days older than Zanetti and went onto bag a brace of goals to take his total in the competition to 47, only Raul, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Thierry Henry and Andrei Shevchenko have scored more goals than the Italian.
