Barcelona are the competitions leading scorers with 30 goals, three more than Real Madrid and double the AC Milan total

They have an even split home and a way whilst AC Milan have 10 at home and just five on the road in five matches   

Barcelona have a better defensive record with six goals conceded, two more than the meanest defence, Real Madrid but five fewer than AC Milan, eight of the 11 goals Milan have conceded have been on the road 

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi is the leading scorer in the competition with 12 goals, one more than Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez and seven more than Milan’s leading scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Barcelona with 26 have had the most different starters in the UCL this season, one more than Arsenal and two more than Milan 

The Spanish side have used 13 players 21 or under compared to just four by the Italian side, whilst Milan have used nine players 30 or over, two more than Barcelona 

Messi needs one goal to hit the milestone of 50 in the UCL and has got to 49 in just 65 matches and 27 have been at the Camp Nou

One more goal will see Ibrahimovic reach six for the season which will be his best ever season return in the UCL having scored five three times, once at Ajax, once at Inter and this season for Milan, it will also see him reach double figures for Milan in the competition     

Fixture History 

These two have met 10 times in the Champions League with both teams winning three times and four matches ending all square 

The three Milan wins came in the first four matches between the two and you have to go back to October 2004 for the Italians last win

Since then Barcelona have won three and three matches have been drawn

Interestingly AC Milan have come away with a draw in their last two visits to Camp Nou and only lost once in four visits   

Messi has scored once v AC in the UCL in three matches and overall against Italian sides has struggled with one goal in seven matches
